Frequently asked questions
- In what order do I post the tiles?
- Backwards. Instagram shows your newest post first (top-left), so upload the last tile first — the bottom-right piece — and finish with the top-left one. The pieces are numbered in reading order (left to right, top to bottom), so post them from the highest number down to 01.
- Can I make a 3×2 or 3×4 grid instead?
- Yes. Keep three columns (that's how many posts fit across a profile) and change the rows to 1, 2, 4 or more. Each extra row is three more posts in the puzzle.
- Will Instagram crop my tiles?
- The profile grid can show posts as cropped thumbnails, so keep faces and text away from the very edges of each tile. Opening a post always shows the full piece.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Everything runs entirely in your browser — your files never leave your device.
