Frequently asked questions
- Why won't my HEIC photos open?
- HEIC is the space-saving format iPhones use by default. Apple devices open it, but many Windows programs, older Android phones, upload forms and photo printers don't. JPG opens everywhere.
- Will I lose quality?
- Very little. Leave the quality at 90% or higher and the JPG looks the same as the original. JPG files are usually a bit larger than HEIC — that's the trade-off for opening anywhere.
- Can I convert many photos at once?
