Frequently asked questions
- Does it work on any photo?
- It works best on clear subjects — people, products, objects — against a distinct background. Fine detail like stray hair is approximate on the free mode.
- Can I clean up the edges?
- Yes — use the Clean edges and Soften edges sliders, or the eyedropper to key out leftover background colours, with a Tolerance slider to catch more shades.
- Do I get a transparent background?
- Yes — download a transparent PNG, or fill the background with white, black or a custom colour first.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No — the free mode removes backgrounds entirely on your device. For sharper edges, the HD mode uses our server and credits.
