Frequently asked questions
- Which formats can I convert between?
- Between PNG, JPEG and WebP (input can also be GIF and more). PNG is lossless; JPEG and WebP are smaller with an adjustable quality.
- Does converting change the size or dimensions?
- Converting never resizes — dimensions stay the same. If a file is already in the format you picked, it's left unchanged (to shrink it instead, use Compress image).
- What happens to transparency?
- PNG and WebP keep transparency; converting to JPEG flattens it onto white.
- Are my images uploaded?
- No — conversion runs entirely on your device; nothing is uploaded.
