- Is 100 KB enough for a good-looking photo?
- For most web use, yes. At typical web dimensions — around 1000 to 1200 pixels wide — 100 KB usually looks clean, and it's a good balance between quality and page speed. Very detailed images (dense foliage, textured fabric, crowds) are the ones that struggle.
- Why is 100 KB such a common limit?
- It's the classic upload cap on job-application portals, university systems and government forms. It's also a sensible self-imposed budget for images on a web page, because it keeps pages fast without obvious quality loss.
- What if my image won't reach 100 KB?
