Compress a PDF to 200KB

Shrink a PDF to roughly 200KB. Set your target and Squishly's deep engine searches for the setting that fits — text stays selectable, and every result comes with a Proof of Fidelity report.

Pro

Strongest compression, and it keeps any existing text selectable and searchable. Note: a scanned or image-only PDF has no text layer, so it stays image-only (that needs OCR).

Frequently asked questions

What kind of PDF fits in 200 KB?
Text documents of moderate length fit easily, and a short scanned document — a few pages — is usually achievable with acceptable quality. Long scanned files, like a 30-page contract photographed page by page, will struggle.
Is 200 KB better than 100 KB for scans?
Noticeably. Doubling the budget gives the engine far more room on image-heavy pages, and scanned text usually stays sharp rather than smudging. If a form allows 200 KB, prefer it over 100 KB.
The result is bigger than 200 KB — why?
The engine reduces image quality and resolution as far as it sensibly can, but it won't destroy a document to hit a number. If your PDF is mostly scans, 200 KB may simply be below what the content allows — try a larger target, or reduce the page count.
What happens to my PDF?
It's sent to our server to compress, processed in a private temporary folder that's deleted the moment your download is ready — nothing is stored.
